Frequent Actions with Infrequent Coordination

چکیده

I study repeated games with mediated communication and frequent actions. I derive a Folk Theorem with imperfect monitoring assuming a conditional form of individual identifiability. Even in the limit, when noise is driven by Brownian motion and actions are arbitrarily frequent, as long as players are sufficiently patient they can attain virtually efficient equilibrium outcomes, in two ways: secret monitoring and infrequent coordination. Players follow private strategies over discrete blocks of time. A mediator constructs latent Brownian motions to score players on the basis of others’ secret monitoring, and gives incentives with these variables at the end of each block, to improve information aggregation. This brings together the work on repeated games in discrete and continuous time in that, despite actions being continuous, strategic coordination is endogenously discrete. As an application, I show how (unconditional) individual identifiability is necessary and sufficient for the Folk Theorem in the Prisoners’ Dilemma. JEL Classification: D21, D23, D82.

Personality Traits and Leisure Time Activity Preferences

Background: AUse of Facebook is a most common phenomenon in the present world. But it has been seen that gradually excessive use of Facebook often creates some psychological problems. Literature shows that there are some specific personality profiles which are responsible for excessive Facebook use. So the main objective of the study is to reveal the specific personality profile of frequent and...

Age effects shrink when motor learning is predominantly supported by nondeclarative, automatic memory processes: evidence from golf putting.

Can motor learning be equivalent in younger and older adults? To address this question, 48 younger (M = 23.5 years) and 48 older (M = 65.0 years) participants learned to perform a golf-putting task in two different motor learning situations: one that resulted in infrequent errors or one that resulted in frequent errors. The results demonstrated that infrequent-error learning predominantly relie...

A Survey of Frequent and Infrequent Weighted Itemset Mining Approaches

Itemset mining is a data mining method extensively used for learning important correlations among data. Initially itemsets mining was made on discovering frequent itemsets. Frequent weighted item set characterizes data in which items may weight differently through frequent correlations in data’s. But, in some situations, for instance certain cost functions need to be minimized for determining r...

Emergent perception-action couplings regulate postural adjustments during performance of externally-timed dynamic interceptive actions.

Studies of postural coordination during performance of externally-timed interceptive actions, such as catching a ball, have been infrequent, with advanced visual information from a thrower's actions towards a catcher, typically excluded in experimental task constraints. Yet previous research suggests that manipulating participant access to such information alters their hand movements and gaze b...
